A Sneak Peek and Mystery News

Due to popular demand, registration for Starstruck, my Mystery class has reopened. Now that people are stitching the first lesson and posting photos, you can see a little more of it. With class being six months (ending in July), there is still plenty of time for latecomers to fully participate in the class. If you've decided you must join the fun, you may sign up until February 19th - we'd love to have you. If you need more info, here's where I originally talked about it.

Many of you know I'll be attending Needlework Tradeshow (wholesale only; not open to the public) in Nashville at the end of the month. There's a lot of buzz about the show - it's sold out and lots of shops have registered to come. I'll be releasing three new patterns and here's the first - I'll be showing them to you over the next few days so stay tuned...

Roseto (Italian for Rose Garden) was inspired by the Gloriana thread "Flowers of Italy" - I used the silk floss and the Princess Perle along with a bunch of different textured threads from Rainbow Gallery and a few others thrown in. For me, this was a design that just flowed easily and came to me quickly as I was working it. I loved it more when it was done than I thought I would! The finished design size is 8x8.

As I'll be showing the rest of my new releases over the next few days, I ask you to wait until you've seen the others to contact your LNS to pre-order - as a former shopowner, I liked one phone call better than two or three!

It's a cold, dreary, rainy day here in northwest Florida. The cats and I are hanging out and listening to classical music in the background while I'm writing instructions. Samantha has found the perfect thing to lay her head on - her brother Boots! I've never seen her do this before so had to snap a pic! You can also see why his name is Boots! They like to lay under the lamp because there's a 3 way bulb and it's warm! They don't always like to share it but seem to work it out most of the time!

Until later,
Kathy

Autumn Logs pillow

Just a quick post to show my finished Autumn Logs made into a pillow. The center looks washed out in the photo but I can't take another because I sent the pillow up to Fireside Stitchery - they're having a Needle Delights Originals trunk show right now and have over a dozen of my pieces - check them out if you're in the northeast! http://www.firesidestitchery.com/     Today is the first day of my online class "Inchies" - here's the Confetti colorway - one of my students already finished it and sent a photo!     I'm working on something new and will show you a peek soon! Kathy

More Serenity and something new...

I'm so pleased to show you photos of some of my students' work! They've had such fun stitching Serenity and several have completed it. It's such fun to see the different colorways come to life! First up is Pam B's - it's called "Flowers of Italy". She was clever and added her initials to the piece - can you find them?!   Next is Highland Garden - it was one of the most popular colorways!   And here's Arnhem Heath, the ever popular purple and green!  I'll be teaching this project at Needle in a Haystack in Alameda, CA next month - if you're wanting some Serenity, come join us. You can see all the info here. Kathy

In full swing...

I've been getting ready for my big summer trip - I'm heading to the midwest next month. First I'll be attending the TNNA Needlework tradeshow in St Charles, Missouri and then am heading to Chicago for the ANG National Seminar. I'm taking a class with Orna Willis and looking forward to being with someone who has great color sense! I'll also be participating at Expo Night. I'm looking for a couple of people who have experience in such events who would be willing to help me - contact me privately if you are interested.  Before I go to Seminar, I'll be teaching August 22-23 at Tomorrow's Heirlooms. You can get more details on their Facebook page here . I'm really having fun working on the piece and wish I could show you part of it but alas, it's a Mystery! I haven't done a Mystery class for the last two years and I'm happy to be designing another - I look forward to being able to share it and eventually publish it. I will be releasing six
