Sudoku Delight class officially announced

It's official - registration is open for my Sudoku Delight class. It's going to be fun! See more info and how to register at https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/46618682/SudokuDelight-2014.pdf

I had a great time selecting alternate colorways for this design. Most of them are based on Rainbow Gallery's Bravo which I've not used a lot. Some of the colors I'd never seen before in person prior to getting these to select from and you know how my heart speeds up at the sight of new Watercolours (my normal overdye)! Getting these cards of "new" Bravo was pretty exciting for me and the bonus of selecting these alternate colorways is that I now have some great palettes for future designs. I'm certain I'll be choosing one to use for my next design - it's hard to decide which one to use first (there are several I LOVE!) so I can understand why people are having a hard time deciding which to select for class. Of course, like people already have, you can get more than one colorway! You can see all of them from the link above but here are the ones I'll be choosing from for my next creative endeavor!

We're actually having beautiful spring weather today so I'm enjoying the view of the trees from the window of my office while I'm making up kits of my new Colorwaves. I love having piles of threads on my table! I'll love it more when all the boxes leave my house!

Hope you're having a great weekend...until next time,
Kathy

  1. I'm looking forward to this class, but I'm so bummed I have to wait until July to start. I guess it will give me time to finish my Tangelo.

More Serenity and something new...

I'm so pleased to show you photos of some of my students' work! They've had such fun stitching Serenity and several have completed it. It's such fun to see the different colorways come to life! First up is Pam B's - it's called "Flowers of Italy". She was clever and added her initials to the piece - can you find them?! Next is Highland Garden - it was one of the most popular colorways! And here's Arnhem Heath, the ever popular purple and green!

I'll be teaching this project at Needle in a Haystack in Alameda, CA next month - if you're wanting some Serenity, come join us. You can see all the info here.

New Releases for Nashville Market

February is one of the craziest months as the Nashville wholesale market is the first weekend in March. For the first time ever, I had completed stitching all of my designs by the end of December and managed to eke out a new Holiday Delights in January! I felt great being ahead of the game but after finishing the stitching, there's the instruction writing, printing, stuffing thousands of patterns into plastic bags (I do have help, thank goodness!), communicating with my shops and distributor, packing the models and patterns to travel to market, and more boring but oh so necessary administrative details.
Did I say I love this time off year?! I really do as I look forward to market like a fabulous dessert - I get to see all my shopowner friends and other designers. We all generally work our fingers to the bone while having a fabulous time with some belly laughs and the promise of delightful sales.
At this point, you're thinking, enough, show us the new designs - here they are! Yo…
